beginning with our warm welcome from Heather and Isidore. Everything was nicely laid out and the welcome banquet of fruit was a treat. The house itself was more than adequate along with the views. We were able to experience the beauty all around us and see just a sample of God's wonderful creation.

Tobago was a new adventure

We had great fun with our toddler in exploring this fascinating Island. Our little girl's swimming has improved no end and she will no doubt be demanding a swimming pool at home now! We felt lucky to have Heather both to look after us and to babysit and the fresh fruits from Pink House gardens brought by Isidore were delicious.

The view is breathtaking both by morning and night, the verandah is exceptional it provides the icing on the cake. My sons have tuirnied into waternymphs. The pool has provided an arena for much fun and laughter. It has been great being woken by a symphony of birds. We have managed to eplore most of the Island but been more than happy to return here at night and to be welcomed home by Max. Took a trip on Island Girl Catamaran, very relaxing and professional. Thank you to Isadore (the gardener)for the fruits and his nature talks. Thank you to the lovely Heather (housekeeper) for keeping the house so clean and tidy.

“Just what the doctor ordered to unwind and re-charge your batteries. The beautiful house was very tastefully designed by the delightful owner Sandra and was very romantic. Our biggest decision of the day was do we chill out by the beautiful pool and enjoy the breathtaking views or explore the Island, needless to say the outstanding Pink house always won. The perfect remedy for the perfect holiday”

The Perfect place to unwind

The Pink House is very, very special and the best holiday pad you could hope for. Perched high up in the hills, it's your own private slice of paradise with a large beautiful garden bursting with fresh fruit trees, fantastic views over the island and a gentle breeze to keep you cool in the sun. The house itself is casually stylish and relaxing; large spacious rooms - all immaculate but very much a home from home too. The owner, Sandra, has obviously poured a lot of love into the place to make sure you have a fantastic break and it really shows. Everything you could need has been thought of and all you need to do is unwind... Hours spent by the pool, sipping drinks, reading books and watching the tiny humming birds do their stuff in the garden... Can't recommend the Pink House highly enough!

The Pink House was a beautiful place to stay with everything you need to make your holiday in Tobago perfect. The main bedroom is a dream to sleep in with the breezes blowing through and keeping you cool. We spent 3 glorious weeks here enjoying the house, pool and gardens. We were woken daily to the birds singing and breakfast on the large shady deck surrounding the house always had a Bananaquit sitting waiting for his share. The staff are fantastic and the house is kept spotless as are the gardens. Plenty of shady areas around the pool and gardens to while away a few hours birdwatching or just reading a book (I did both!). Definitely somewhere we wish to return as we have felt totally at home. Thank you Sandra for the use of this tropical paradise, we will definitely be back. You will love the famous Max, he is one in a million and adorable, if we could we'd have run off with him!

Well, what we experienced at the 'Pink House' exceeded our expectation. The house itself is fabulous, the views are majestic, the panoramic verandah views are inexplicable; they simply have to be experienced. The house is well kept, clean and inviting. We enjoyed our stay, caught the vacation fever and decided "WE MUST COME AGAIN!!!"

Wonderful stay at The Pink House!!!

Review Submitted: November 2, 2010 Date of Stay: September 2010
Three couples from the Boston area visited Tobago for the first time in Sept '10, and spent a wonderful week at The Pink House. Prior to our arrival, all issues and questions were resolved by Sandra Serlin, the owner. Sandra was on holiday in the UK during our stay, but checked on us via email almost daily to ensure that things were going well. The house, property, pool and views were all excellent. I highly recommend The Pink House to anyone looking for a relaxing holiday in a very picturesque setting. Compared to many islands, Tobago has little tourism infrastructure and it was wonderful to get away from the t-shirt shops, chain restaurants and crowds. The people of Tobago were some of the most friendly and accommodating that I have met while on an island.

Thank you Sandra for a wonderful, relaxing and enjoyable stay at the Pink House. The views are awesome, and the property sits majestically on top of the mountain. I enjoyed the vibrant sounds of the very diverse nature in the early mornings. It is only a a short drive to the beach. My family had a great time and we enjoyed our stay. I miss your dog Max, we became buddies very quickly.
Thanks again for making our stay a memorable one.

Tranquil, calm and all that is needed to get away from work, and the cold.
A very warm welcome and a chicken stew on arrival. Bliss after the travelling and a very tired but excited group. Watching the moon and stars at night on the verandah. We could have stayed longer but it was not to be.

Cool ocean breezes keep this home comfortable in the bright Carribean sun. The surroundings are beautiful, peaceful, and private; an ideal staging place for trips to the beaches, the rainforest, or for relaxing on the landscaped premises on the veranda or by the swimming pool. Hostess Sandra was most helpful in making us comfortable, and with her suggestions and directions for finding our way around the island. The house was very comfortable, well-equipped, and clean. While there were only two of us on this visit, it is clear that 8 persons would be very comfortable in residence there, and we are already formulating plans to return with our adult children and their offspring. We heartily enjoyed our visit!

Paradise in the Pink House

Review Submitted: March 3, 2010 Date of Stay: February 2010
Where to start.. we had the most wonderful holiday in Tobago in February. I think much of that was due to the fantastic Pink House. As soon as we walked in the door after a very long day travelling from London, we were all overawed. It has the most welcoming feel to it; beautifully decorated, most amazing master suite with gorgeous wrap around porch. The children (15, 14 and 11) were just so, so happy with everything about the house; their rooms, the pool and Max (the dog).

Tobago is an island I know we will return to and hopefully we will return to the Pink House. After a day travelling around the island, with plenty of swimming and snorkelling, it was always such a treat to return to this home. Evenings spent star gazing and drinking cocktails on the porch, what more could you ask for? Mornings spent watching the beautiful birds. The location is perfect with gorgeous views of the Caribbean. Sandra has made it into a lovely, warm home. She was always at the end of the phone for advice on where to eat, where to swim and where to explore, all gratefully received. Susan there to greet us at the airport and show us where to shop. Thank you.

We were very sad to leave the house but I know we will return one day.

Thank you Sandra.

The Pink House ~ Mount Hay ~ Tobago WI

Steve&Lyn Bristol UK
Review Submitted: February 21, 2010 Date of Stay: February 2010
We first set eyes on the Pink House during our stay at the Mount Hay Retreat, in 2004.
Back then we were told that the Pink House was for sale and we had one of those wishful thinking 'If only we could win the lottery' moments.
Fast forward to 2010 and we have just returned from a week's stay at the Pink House (having still not won the lottery!).
A week was, of course, far too short a time for any holiday on Tobago,
So, down to the review.  We arrived at The Pink House in darkness, after a delayed flight and were met by Susan the house manager who showed us around the house to familiarise us with the lay-out and features.
The ground floor ~ open plan lounge, dining room and kitchen were airy and spacious.
The lounge area with comfortable sofas, dinning area with table to seat 8 and adjacent, a very well equipped kitchen with everything one could wish for.  Two sets of French doors lead from the lounge area out onto the huge veranda, where there are ample tables and chairs for alfresco dining or taking in the view from the shaded areas.  We've stayed in many private houses and villas over the years and a sea view is one of the pre-requisites of our accomodation selection. In this department The Pink House doesn't disappoint  There are also three bedrooms with en-suites on the ground floor, all tastefully decorated and furnished, with either double of two single beds, so ideal for a large family or a group of friends.
Understated elegance is how I would describe my first impression.  The upstairs master suite was, to say the least, jaw-droppingly impressive. Without doubt the Jewel in the crown of The Pink House and was the natural choice of sleeping space during our stay.
I got up early the next morning (still dark) to go fishing for a few hours and when I returned, Lyn was having a cup of tea on the veranda, over-looking the swimming pool, the extensive gardens and beyond, the Grafton bird sanctuary and then a stunning view of Courland Bay.

'What do you think?' I asked.  'It's perfect' was her reply.
For those who, like us, enjoy a get-away-from-it-all kind of holiday, then The Pink House is an ideal location.
In fact it is hard to find the words to adequately convey how much we enjoyed our stay at the Pink House, but to sum up, the words that do come easily to mind are - Serene , Peaceful, Tranquil, Relaxing, Carefree, Chilled , Restful , Revitalising , Invigorating , Perfect ,& When can we go back!

Tremendous Value

Review Submitted: February 12, 2010 Date of Stay: January 2010
This was our third trip to Tobago, 24th to the Caribbean; yea we like the island as it is still undeveloped and uncrowded. We prefer cooking on the grill to eating out and love the dailiy afternoon 5 min. trip to buy fresh fish right off the boat. Several of the best beaches on the island are within 5 min. of the Pink House, all have shade or sun whichever you prefer.
Hanging out on the PH deck with it's great view of the Caribbean or at the pool often beats a trip to the beach.
We've driven the entire island, and I mean every road there is several times, and the PH location in the Black Rock/Stonehaven area is the absolutely the best, most private, most convenient there is.
We've also checked out many other villas and hotels and will always return to the PH. It is very private, abutting a bird sanctuary and if you're there in the right season pick your own fresh limes/lemons and tangerines, they were great.
The PH has an open floor plan creating a pleasant, airy atmosphere and there is a constant breeze, we never even needed the ceiling fans. The kitchen has everyting needed down to an ice maker, microwave, dishwasher and french press coffee maker. The satellite TV was fine as was the internet connection with wifi.
The huge second floor bedroom is to die for with a wrap around balcony.
We've never experienced anything but friendliness on Tobago, no problems with the inhabitants.
We highly recommend the Pink House but I will not be buttonholed into suggesting the PH for specific groups as it would be presumptious of me to assume I Know your kids or teenagers or parents or your likes and dislikes. Suffice to say it is ideal for Joyce and me.
I would be remiss if I did not advise anyone (and with all due respect to Sandra who is a wonderful host) to make sure Sandra is there when you arrive to show you around, give you the wifi password, etc. unless she has gotten around to writing all this important info into a Pink House guide book

We hit the jackpot!! We stayed in the best villa on the island. If you need rest and quiet and want to be surrounded by peacefulness and beautiful panoramic scenery: choose the PINK HOUSE. We fell in love with the house the moment we stepped in. The first thing you see is the ocean thru the lovely arch shaped doors, which by the way remain open day and night. The villa has everything you ask for.
The big suite on the 1st floor is just fantastic. When we lay down in bed we could just look at the stars at night. The big veranda around the suite was an icing on the cake and also those doors remained open day and night and the view is stunning. The overall feeling for the house was one of light, openness, tranquility and comfort. We spent 2 weeks in Tobago and the 1st week in the Pink House and we decided to enjoy the villa and the great swimming pool to the full, which meant we postponed our sightseeing, tours en even beaches to the following week which we would spent in another accommodation. We only left the house if we didn’t feel like cooking and going down the mountain into Black Rock was just a little over 5 min drive to nice restaurants. The fancy ones were just 10 min away. Worth to mention is also that the house was clean and what we particularly liked is the fact that the covers of the couches were washed before every new guest comes in, as well as all the carpets. It really gives you a “clean” feeling. Guess what: there are so many breezes that there is no need at all for an air-conditioning and Best of all: No Mosquito’s. Believe me that is worth a lot. We just hated to leave after 8 days and we can only compliment the owner with her beautiful house. We met her and she was so sweet and helpful and gave us the best service ever. When we arrived at noon Susan the manager picked us up from the airport, but since check in is at 3.00 pm she took us to a beautiful condominium where we could rest until the house was ready for us. Sandra reminded us that we could eat whatever fruits were on the premises. At that time lime and bananas, the mangos were not ripened. Since there is a blender available make sure you make some nice smoothies, we had lots of them at breakfast. Oh by the way, you can have breakfast inside the house at the dining table, but we sat outside on the spacious porch/veranda looking over the swimming pool to the forest and ocean.
We just had such a fantastic and comfortable time in the Pink House that we wanted everyone to

The Pink House is even better than it looks. The views are spectacular and the bedrooms and bathrooms are extremely comfortable and spacious. The master suite is stunning. We spent many happy hours sitting on the huge veranda watching green parrots and hummingbirds at breakfast and waiting for the stars to come out at night. We also felt very well looked after by Sandra who has the best contacts all over the island and can arrange surfing lessons, boat trips, massages etc and recommended great places to eat. The location is perfect - secluded and yet 15 minutes pleasant drive away from the best beaches, shops and restaurants. We had a very special holiday and can't wait to return.

Having been all over the Caribbean I've become a little jaded about what to expect - lots of it seems quite fake but the pink house really made me feel for the first time that i had a home here all of my own - a place to relax, and chill out for downtime and a perfect base from which to explore Tobago. The pink house managers are charming and full of good advice about what to do, but what you'll really want to do most is stay here, look at the view and count down the time until you can come back because it's total bliss - and a total bargain too.

We just spent nine glorious days (Mar. 13-21) at the Pink House , on Mahogany Ridge ,in Tobago. The view is spectacular- the Carribean Sea beckons from the back deck and the Atlantic from the front door. Bordering on the Grafton Bird Sanctuary, The Pink House offers the best in birding. The gardens are lush and tropical and the accommodations are fabulous. For those seeking tranquil surroundings and a restful spot, The Pink House is your Shangrila. We will be back in the near future, but this time for a longer holiday. Thanks for everything Sandra, Best Wishes, Richard, Tamara, Katherine, Tom, Janet and Matthew.
